As a coach, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for my clients to explore their goals and challenges.

I want to best support you in your health and fitness goals, incorporating a holistic approach that includes working on mindset, developing resilience, and managing stress.

My coaching style is influenced by various factors such as trauma awareness, evidence-based techniques, a client-centered approach, a holistic view, and supportiveness.

In this blog post, I’ll delve deeper into each aspect of my coaching methodology and how it can empower individuals towards achieving their full potential.

Whether you’re new to coaching or have previous experience, I hope this post will provide insight into my unique approach and its benefits.

So let’s dive in!

The five pillars of my coaching philosophy and approach

  1. Trauma aware
  2. Evidence-based
  3. Client-centered
  4. Holistic
  5. Supportive

As a certified coach, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals from various backgrounds.

Through my experiences, I’ve developed my own coaching philosophy that emphasizes the importance of building a strong relationship with my clients, understanding their individual needs, and creating an empowering environment for growth and development.

I’ve come up with the acronym TECHS to the qualities and values most important in my coaching.

Let’s take a look at each.

Trauma aware

My coaching philosophy and approach is centered around trauma awareness.

I believe that to effectively coach and guide individuals, it is crucial to have a deep understanding of trauma and its impact on a person’s life.

Traumatic experiences can greatly affect one’s mindset, behaviors, and overall wellbeing. Therefore, as a coach, I make sure to create a safe and supportive space for my clients where they feel comfortable opening up.

By being trauma-aware in my approach, I aim to support my clients in not only achieving their goals but also overcoming any underlying challenges that may arise along the way due to past traumatic experiences.

Evidence-based

Evidence-based coaching is a coaching approach that relies on empirical research, scientific evidence, as well as experience to guide the coaching process.

This approach is based on the idea that effective coaching requires more than intuition or just personal experience, but rather a solid understanding of proven psychological principles and techniques as well as what the data proves and what it doesn’t.

As a coach, I’m committed to using evidence-based methods in my practice as I believe they offer the most effective and efficient way to support my clients in reaching their goals.

By staying up-to-date with the latest research and incorporating evidence-based strategies into my coaching sessions, I aim to provide my clients with personalized and results-driven support.

With evidence-based coaching, I can ensure that my clients receive the best possible guidance and tools to achieve their desired outcomes.

Client-centered

Client-centered coaching is a powerful approach that focuses on the individual needs and goals of the client.

It is based on the belief that each person possesses the necessary skills and resources to achieve their desired outcomes.

As a coach, my philosophy is centered around creating a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore, reflect, and grow.

I believe in empowering my clients by helping them tap into their own inner wisdom and strengths.

My approach involves active listening, asking powerful questions, and providing support and guidance as my clients work towards their personal development.

Together, we co-create a personalized coaching plan that addresses their specific challenges and helps them unlock their full potential.

With client-centered coaching, the focus is always on the client’s unique journey towards self-discovery and growth.

Holistic

A holistic approach is an all-encompassing approach to help my clients reach their full potential.

This means that I not only focus on achieving specific goals or solving immediate problems, but also take into consideration the broader aspects of my client’s life such as their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing as well as aspects of their environment that may affect their goals.

By addressing all areas of my client’s life, I can assist them in creating lasting and meaningful changes that go beyond just surface-level solutions.

Through a holistic coaching approach, I aim to support my clients in achieving balance and harmony in all aspects of their lives so they can thrive both personally and professionally.

Supportive

I strongly believe in the power of supportive coaching.

This means that as a coach, I am committed to building a strong and trusting relationship with my clients, where they feel comfortable opening up and sharing their thoughts and feelings with me.

I also prioritize creating a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their goals, challenges, and personal growth.

Through active listening, empathy, and encouragement, I aim to support my clients in reaching their full potential and achieving their desired outcomes.

I believe that everyone has the ability to make positive changes in their life with the right support and guidance, which is why supportive coaching is at the core of my approach.

Conclusion

I believe that the five pillars of my coaching philosophy and approach are crucial to helping individuals reach their goals and overcome challenges.

By being mindful of past traumas, utilizing proven methods backed by research, prioritizing the needs and desires of clients, taking a well-rounded view of their lives, and providing a safe and encouraging space, I’m confident in my ability to guide others towards growth and fulfillment.

With this approach, I hope to empower individuals to take control of their lives and become their best selves.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my coaching philosophy. I look forward to working with you on your journey towards better health.
