
Hi, I’m Ula!
I’m a holistic health, movement, and nutrition coach specializing in sleep and stress management. I support conscious work with the body and mind through movement, deep health, meditation and calming support practices.
I specialize in enabling women to improve their relationship with themselves and their bodies. In an atmosphere of openness, acceptance and support, I help you to love your body.
Socialization taught us early on to cut ourselves off from the body—the vessel for everything difficult and unpleasant. Society taught us it’s the mind and intellect that are truly valuable. That was a lie!
For many, many years I thought that my intellect was my greatest asset, BUT when I went to therapy, I quickly noticed how much tension I was habitually holding in my body—probably from an early age.
I decided then that I wanted to be more attentive to my body, check in with it, and not cut myself off, but make friends—because
I AM THE BODY!
I’ve been practicing inquiring what’s going on in my body regularly for many years. I took a course on dance and movement therapy, started to regularly meet my body on the mat, and then during strength training, I observed how I was treating it, and what I thought about it, and asked myself:
What does it mean to love my body?
I’m continuously discovering more and more answers. I’ve learned when I commit violence toward my body by undertaking overly strict diets or expecting it to look or behave in a certain way, or when I sabotage myself in the pursuit of my health goals. Now I try to act from a position of love toward my body.
This whole site is about taking care of your physical, mental, and emotional health in a loving way. It’s about building loving, sustainable self-care habits.
